This value is the main driving value for the Web App. Originally set at 1.00.
Set lower for less of a threat. Higher for a bigger threat
Note:Any mask helps other people from your respiratory droplets (This is called Source Control) You wearing a mask stops the
droplets before they evaporate and become even smaller and much more difficult to stop!
This Machine Learning Model's confidence is lowered by people wearing masks and that reduces the effect.
However, this Machine Learning Model is not specifically trained to identify masks!
Known Issues with this version of the Social Distance Machine Learning Web App
Point the camera away from people before closing, otherwise that score will be calculated each second upon re openning the app.
This issue can be used to determine you average score for the duration you are not moving, like at work or on a bus.
If people are facing away from you, but a breeze is flowing towards you. No detection since no face is visible
Small faces will be analyzed as slightly farther away than large faces.
Kids are detected as slightly farther away than adults.
Infection Viral load and Viral Reduction per second are just a guess at the moment.
Effectiveness of homemade multilayer cloth masks for personal protection has very little scientific support at the moment
(Effectiveness for source control of even single layer homemade mask is presently highly supported as of April 2020)
This Social Distancing Game can educate people about using physical distancing to reduce the number of respiratory droplets
a person might be subjected to. This Machine Learning Web App has minimal scientific backing to be more than anything
except a game, but it does point the way for Science and Machine Learning to work together to make Apps which can handle
complex physical situations to assist people in learning a new task or a new topic.
